Privacy notice
Last updated: 16 August 2026
In short. We keep the email address you give us, if you give it. We use no analytics, we don't profile you, there is no advertising and no data goes to third parties for their own purposes. Links in our emails may carry a code — it is there to apply the right offer to you, and we say so because it is true, not because it is buried somewhere.
1. Who processes your data
The data controller is Star Dot Star S.r.l., via Donizetti 10/12, 35010 Cadoneghe (PD), Italy, VAT and tax code 04541420289.
For anything concerning your data, write to info@unogest.eu or to our certified address stardotstarsrl@legalmail.it.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer: the conditions that make it mandatory under Article 37 GDPR do not apply to us.
2. What we collect
Your email address, if you give it
We collect it only if you fill in the subscription form. Along with the address we record when you asked, when you confirmed, and the IP address the request came from: not to profile you, but because we must be able to show that you asked for this yourself. It is the same evidence that protects you from being subscribed by somebody else.
Your subscription takes effect only after you confirm using the code we email you. If you don't confirm, the address never enters the list. The confirmation procedure uses a technical session cookie, described in our cookie policy.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours records the requests it receives: IP address, date and time, the address requested — including any parameters contained in the link — and browser type. They keep the site running, let us notice attacks or faults, and let us deliver correctly the services you ask for.
Codes contained in our links
The emails we send you may contain links carrying a code: it identifies the campaign you are coming from, the invitation you received, or the commercial terms reserved for you — a launch discount, for instance. Its purpose is that you find the offer already applied when you reach registration, without having to ask for it or type it in.
We want to be explicit about one consequence: that code appears in the server logs. Technically, therefore, it would be possible to reconstruct that a given link was opened. Our interest is in applying the right terms and in understanding which initiatives work — not in watching what you do — but we would rather state what the system makes possible than reassure you with a promise nobody could verify.
What we do not do
We use no pixels or invisible images to learn whether you open our emails. We do not measure your path through the pages. We build no behavioural profiles, we do not estimate your interests, we assign you no scores. We use no profiling or third-party cookies, there is no analytics tool, and there is no advertising.
3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | To tell you when Unogest becomes available and, afterwards, to send you news about the product and commercial communications | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you subscribe and confirm |
| Proof of subscription (timestamps, IP) | To demonstrate that the subscription was requested and confirmed | Legal obligation and our legitimate interest in defending against claims (Art. 6(1)(c) and 6(1)(f) GDPR) |
| Codes in links | To apply the commercial terms you are entitled to at registration; to assess in aggregate which initiatives work | Pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in measuring the effectiveness of our initiatives (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Information about the company you belong to (legal form, sector, country) |
To send you communications relevant to your business and offer suitable terms: the needs of a limited company and of a sole trader are not the same | Our legitimate interest in communicating relevantly (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Technical session cookie | Making subscription confirmation work | Necessary to deliver the service you requested (Art. 122 Italian Privacy Code) |
| Server logs | Operation, security, fault diagnosis | Our legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) |
Be clear about what you are agreeing to: subscribing does not only get you the launch notice. You stay on our list until you unsubscribe, and you will also receive commercial communications about Unogest, which may differ depending on the kind of business you belong to. We would rather write it here plainly than let you find out from the second email.
4. How long we keep it
- Email address: for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove it from the list immediately.
- Proof of subscription and unsubscription: kept after you leave, for as long as we need it to show we acted properly, and in any case no longer than two years.
- Server logs: no longer than 30 days, except those relating to a security incident under analysis.
- Discount codes and reserved terms: if you become a Unogest customer, they stay attached to your contract for its whole duration, because they determine what you pay. In that case processing is governed by the service privacy notice, which you receive at subscription.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your address with anyone. No data is disclosed to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
It may be processed on our behalf, by processors appointed under Article 28 GDPR and only as far as necessary, by the providers of the infrastructure hosting this site and of the technical email delivery service. An up-to-date list is available on request at info@unogest.eu.
6. Where it is processed
Data is processed on servers located in the European Union. We do not transfer personal data to third countries. Should that become necessary, we will rely on one of the safeguards in Chapter V of the Regulation and update this notice before doing so.
7. How to unsubscribe
Every email we send contains an unsubscribe link. One click and you are out: no code to enter, no questions, no screen trying to talk you out of it. If you prefer, write to info@unogest.eu.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
8. Your rights
At any time you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy (Art. 15);
- correct it if it is wrong or incomplete (Art. 16);
- erase it (Art. 17);
- restrict its processing (Art. 18);
- provide it in a machine-readable format, or send it to another controller (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on legitimate interest, including communications differentiated by type of business (Art. 21);
- withdraw your consent (Art. 7(3)).
Write to info@unogest.eu: we answer within one month. We do not ask for identity documents when the request comes from the subscribed address, because that would mean collecting more data in order to protect one.
9. Automated decision-making
We make no automated decisions producing legal effects concerning you, or similarly significantly affecting you, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
Automatically applying a discount or reserved terms from a code does not fall into that category: it works in your favour, denies you nothing, and replaces no assessment about you. If you want to know why a particular offer was made to you, ask and we will explain.
10. Complaints
If you believe the processing of your data infringes the Regulation, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or with the supervisory authority of the Member State where you live or work.
11. Changes to this notice
If we change anything material we will update this page, and where the change concerns how we use your address we will tell you by email before it takes effect. The date of the current version is always shown at the top.
