In short. While you read these pages, your browser receives no cookies at all. If you subscribe to our list, the procedure uses a technical cookie for the duration of the session: it makes the process work, it doesn't follow you around. No profiling cookies, no third-party cookies, no analytics.
1. While you browse: no cookies
The pages of this site are static files. They set no cookies, write nothing to
localStorage, and load no fonts, images, stylesheets or scripts from
external servers. While you read, your browser contacts no server other than
unogest.eu.
You can check it: open your browser's developer tools, Network and Storage tabs, and reload the page.
2. When you subscribe: one technical cookie
The subscription form sends you a confirmation code by email. To match the code you type with the request you sent — and to stop somebody else confirming in your place — the procedure opens a session, handled with one or more technical session cookies.

They are first-party cookies — set by unogest.eu, not by third parties — and they contain no information about your interests or your behaviour.
3. Why there is no consent banner
Prior consent is required for profiling cookies and, generally, for any cookie that is not necessary to deliver the service you asked for. Cookies strictly necessary to provide a function the user explicitly requested are exempt: this follows from the ePrivacy Directive and, in Italy, Article 122 of the Privacy Code.
Ours fall into that category: they exist only because you asked to subscribe, and without them confirmation could not work. That is why you won't find a banner. We did not add one "just to be safe": asking for consent where none is required trains people to click "accept" without reading, and helps nobody.
4. What is still absent
- no analytics or traffic measurement tool;
- no third-party cookies;
- no tracking pixel, advertising network or social network tag;
- no share buttons and no content embedded from other sites;
- no device fingerprinting;
- no cookie that survives closing the browser.
5. How to switch them off
You can block cookies in your browser settings. If you block technical ones too, browsing the site still works perfectly; you will not, however, be able to complete your subscription, because the code verification would have no way of recognising your session.
6. What the server records anyway
These are not cookies and they are not stored on your device, but you should know about them: our server records the requests it receives, including any parameters present in the links you followed. How we use them is set out in our privacy notice, which is deliberately explicit on this point.
7. If this changes
If we introduce cookies beyond the technical ones described here, we will rewrite this page and a consent banner will appear before they come into use — not after. No tracking tool will ever start running silently.
